Each of the seven plaques holds approximately 600 of the total 4300 names of internees. And there are photos at the top of each cast bronze plaque. These are our "Photo to Sculpt" images; fully integrated cast portraits, created from photographs that were submitted by our client. You can also see the "barbed wire border" that we suggested. Symbolically, it "contains" the names of the camp internees.
When in downtown Los Angeles, and historic "Little Tokyo", you'll want to visit the Japanese-American Museum. On the second floor, just outside the elevator, you'll see our Stainless Steel memorial to the Japanese-American World War II heroes who honorably represented our nation. The memorial is one-eighth inch thick stainless steel, alloy #316, chemically etched and filled with black enamel. The finish is our "random orbital finish." You can see larger photos of this project in our "Application & Project Photos" section, under the title of "Public Venues."
